“So, I haveth a laser pointere…”
“Stop calling it that! It is a dangerous tool of the Darkness!”
“So… I hav-”
Superior Very Rare weapon (linear fusion rifle), requires attunement by a Risen
Damage: 2d4 solar
Scope: 15/120/340 (long)
Memory, Weight: 4/1, 11 lb.
Other Properties: Shot Capacity (3), Two-Handed, Unwieldy
Intrinsic: Acausal
Perpetual: This weapon is a conglomeration of disconnected will, crystalized into being through its collective. If this weapon should ever be damaged to the point of not being considered Finality’s Auger, a new Finality’s Auger creates itself somewhere, and this weapon ceases to be.
Slot 1: Ruinscribe’s Forge
Situational: As an action, you can spend 3 shots to place a Ruinscribe Turret in an unoccupied space within the extended range of this weapon. This Ruinscribe Turret is a Tiny device that hovers in the location it is placed. It lasts for 1 minute, until its health points are reduced to 0, or until you create a new Ruinscribe Turret, whichever happens first.
Sturdy Score: 5 times your proficiency bonus
AC: 10 + your proficiency bonus
For the duration, on initiative counts 20 and 10 (losing all ties), the Ruinscribe Turret fires a solar bolt at the closest hostile creature it can see within 60 feet of it, dealing 1d4 solar damage. It has a blindsight of 60 feet.
Universal Device Rules
As normal, specific mechanics take precedence over general mechanics.
- As an unliving piece of technology, a device doesn’t have health points. Instead, it has a Sturdy score (default: 5). If the device takes damage less than its Sturdy score, it takes no damage. It is destroyed if it takes damage equal to or higher than its Sturdy score.
- Devices are immune to all damage and conditions caused by Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma saving throws.
- Devices are immune to poison and psychic damage.
- If the device has no AC, its AC is 1. Also, you can’t critically miss on an attack roll against a device.
Slot 2: Ruinscribe’s Beacon
Perpetual: This weapon’s damage die size, and the damage die size of its Ruinscribe Turret’s barrage, is increased by one for every Power level you are above 1st.
Situational: As an item interaction, you can use this weapon’s beacon laser to mark a target within the extended range of this weapon (or maximum range if you’re Aiming). For the next minute, or until you mark a new creature, your Ruinscribe Turret will always choose to attack the marked target over any other creature, and it deals an additional 1d4 solar damage when it fires its bolt. Also during this time, your Ruinscribe Turret will not attack any other creature, even if it can’t see the marked creature.
