Slot 1: The Fundamentals

Perpetual: You may use a free action to change the type of damage this weapon deals, choosing between arc, solar, or void damage. Also, this weapon’s damage dice sizes are both increased by one for every 1 your proficiency bonus is above +2.

Slot 2: Ionic Adaptation

Situational: If you reduce a hostile creature’s energy shields to 0 with a shot from this weapon, this weapon gains an effect based on the alignment, as shown below.

  • Solar: The next shot you take with this weapon while its damage type is solar gains an additional damage die. If the shot hits, the target is Scorched until the end of their next turn.
  • Void: The next shot you take with this weapon while its damage type is void gains an additional damage die. If the shot hits, the target is Suppressed until the end of their next turn.
  • Arc: The next shot you take with this weapon while its damage type is arc gains an additional damage die. If the shot hits, the target is Blinded until the end of their next turn.
  • Unaligned: The next shot you take with this weapon gains an additional two damage dice if the target does not have any shield points or Overshields.
  • Other: If the shield broken does not match any of the types listed above, this weapon’s critical miss range increases by 1 for the next minute (can stack, no max). If you hit with a shot from this weapon, you may add this critical miss range increase to the damage roll of that shot. This critical miss range increase can be removed by repairing this weapon.
