Pocket Infinity

Guardians will go to dangerous lengths for improved firepower—perhaps even tapping into the Vex network’s subsystem for distributing energy to terminal weapons, if it could mean a faster-firing fusion rifle.

Fine Rare weapon (fusion rifle), requires attunement by a Risen

Damage: 2d10 solar
Scope: 15/25/30 (medium)
Memory, Weight: 10/1, 18 lb.
Other Properties: Automatic Fire, Energy Weapon, Piercing Rounds, Unwieldy, shot capacity (5), two-handed

A fairly typical-looking all-black fusion rifle, except for the unrecognizable square components mounted to its sides and wired into its charging system.

Slot 1: Particle Repeater

Perpetual: This weapon has a variable reload cost, as seen in the table below. The reload tier starts at 0 and increases by one each time you kill a hostile creature with a shot from it. When you complete a brief rest, this weapon’s reload tier is returned to 0.

Furthermore, if this weapon is ever stored in the same memory (such as Ghost memory or Vault memory) as another Pocket Infinity, the data from the weapons corrupt and destroy all copies of Pocket Infinity, as well as destroying the data in 4d4 other random memory slots. Any items in those other slots are destroyed.

Slot 2: Vex Components Installed

Situational: Whenever you’re in a combat while on a destination Vex can appear, 3 (or 1d4+1) additional Soldier or Minion Vex units are added to the encounter. Inform your Architect before the session starts.

Furthermore, this weapon glows brighter the closer it is to a Vex gate. While within 100 meters of a Vex gate, it shines bright light in a 10-foot radius and dim light 10 feet beyond that.

Slot 3: Pocket Infinity

Perpetual: This weapon fires at a rate relative to its reload tier.

  • At reload tier 2, this weapon ignores its Unwieldy property.
  • At reload tier 3, you can use your bonus action to take a shot with this weapon.
  • At reload tier 4, whenever you take the Attack action with this weapon, you can make one more attack than you normally could, but all attacks must be made with this Pocket Infinity and you must make all attacks in a row. For instance, you could not stop attacking in order to move to a new location first.
